Can steam power plant work with a compressor instead of condenser and heat pump?

ANSWER:

We want to reduce power consumption by removing condenser and pump and throw the output of turbine direct to boiler and then provide less energy to convert vapors into super heated state. This looks quite possible however it is not the case this is because the output of turbine in mixture of vapors and liquid and we are not able to move mixture from one place to another. This is because cavitation would  occur inside pump or compressor and will lead to damaging of our instrument. So first mixture is converted into liquid then pumped to boiler.

BEARING SELECTION

STEP 1 Load Calculation:

First of all calculate loads on shaft. Major loads are Radial and Axial. Radial load is due to weight where as axial load is due to centrifugal forces during turning a car or due to frictional shear if there is skid steering.
Centrifugal axial load = mv2/r

STEP 2 EQUIVALENT RADIAL LOAD:

We know our shaft size so now we select various bearing from the catalog of inner dia equal to our shaft dia and select one bearing at a time and perform below demonstrated calculations. Now we have to calculate equivalent radial loading by using

Fe=XiVFr + YiFa as
Where as corresponding values of Xi and Yi are calculated from following tables

where as
Fa= Axial Force
Co= Bearing static load catalog rating
V= 1 for inner ring rotating and 1.2 for outer ring rotating
so calculate equivalent radial load on bearing

STEP 3 BEARING LIFE CALCULATION:

After that now we know the RPM of our rotating shaft also we know our application so we know what bearing life we require so to calculate bearing life consult the following graph to calculate bearing life first calculate following factors
C/P = Ratio of Bearing Dynamic load catalog rating to Equivalent Radial load

Along with bearing life we have reliability also shown in the graph. Right most life is of 10% reliability and left is of 99.99% reliability also depicted in the graph.
STEP 4 CONCLUSION:

If the selected bearing providing required bearing life then its fine if not then again perform the similar calculation on the next bearing.
If we are not achieving required life then we can use two bearings instead of one
